Reforesting Dunedin - A landowner's field trip

Potato Point, Pūrākaunui - Sunday 19 April, 11am-2pm

As part of the Wild Dunedin Festival, join the folk from Halo Project and explore the magnificent headland known as Potato Point. Meet experts in forest restoration and carbon sequestration. Plant a tree and be inspired to start making a plan for your property! Learn how to plan, plant, maintain and protect plantings. Find out how to access funding for forest planting.

The Halo Project has been working with the landowner to develop a habitat restoration plan and secure funding for plants. Here about this and more…

Location: 12 Hill St, Pūrākaunui. Meet at 11am at the woolshed (parking at the woolshed). Take Blueskin-Waitati Rd, turnoff onto Pūrākaunui Rd and drive all the way down Pūrākaunui Rd (which becomes Boundary Rd, and then Hill St). Look for Halo Project sign on the driveway.

Tea/coffee provided; BYO lunch, drink bottle, sturdy footwear and jacket. This is an all-weather event.
