Source to Sea – Community Field Lead
Full-time, fixed-term contract to December 2025, Dunedin based
Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 (based on experience)

About the role
Reporting to the Source to Sea Project Manager you will:
Work as part of a team to undertake planting, plant maintenance and weed control
Support volunteers to assist in habitat restoration
Gain conservation skills, qualifications and experience
Ideally, you will:
Be an inspiring leader who is adaptable, innovative and creative
Have successful volunteer management experience in an outdoor field setting
Be able to work weekends as required
Possess strong technical knowledge of habitat restoration, maintenance and monitoring
Be able to implement field-based operations in a strategic and methodical manner
Have a strong knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements
Be an excellent communicator with an ability to relate to a range of people
Have sound computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Hold a full driver’s licence and work visa
Preferably, you will also:
Hold a tertiary qualification in fields relating to conservation, ecology or science
Have experience in conservation field work, ideally within a New Zealand context.
