Long Beach DOC Reserve, Beach Rd, Long Beach

Sunday, 15 May, 10am – 3pm

Saturday 28 May, 10am – 3pm

Sunday 12 June, 10am – 3pm

The Source to Sea team is looking forward to starting work at Long Beach. A 9-hectare area of DOC recreation reserve, at the southern end of Beach Rd, will be restored to native dune habitat, with a wide range of common and rare native plants.

We have 34,000 plants to go in this year alone. Plus, a walking track for your enjoyment.

We’ll need volunteer help with planting and maintenance. We’ll hold regular weekday working bees starting in May. Please contact jeanne@haloproject.org.nz if you can help.
